It's been nearly five years since our friends at Howler burst onto the scene, delivering one of the most badass magazine covers of all time and proving that there's still plenty of room in our hearts for thoughtful print media in the age of 140-characters-a-pop journalism.

As the publication prepares to celebrate their bar mitzvah issue this fall, they're offering fans - well, one fan, if the narrator is to be believed - a chance to own a phone straight out of late-80s Sports Illustrated... in a parallel universe where SI cared about football at the time.

In addition to USMNT legend and current Fox Sports commentator Alexi Lalas, the clip features star turns by Will Arnett, Jack Black, Paul Downs, Adam Pally, Sarah Silverman, and Guillermo from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, who last week did his best to block Neymar's rooftop golazo.

The video was produced in collaboration with marketing agency Kovert Creative, who have announced a strategic investment in Howler Media. The support will surely give founder George Quraishi and his team even more resources to deliver their beautiful take on the beautiful game.

We could insert a pithy comment about how this is a backdoor teaser for the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster Tenacious D Go To the World Cup, or come up with a joke about Sarah Silverman and her ex Jimmy Kimmel ripping flares behind the goal at NYCFC matches, but it turns out that they and their co-stars in the clip are all Kovert clients, which makes sense but reduces the serendipity just a bit.

Still, that's a sweet-looking phone.
