SÓCRATES: MY LIGHT SHINES ON

The long legs, the short shorts.  The beard and the headband.  The through balls and the sense that this was a game that was just too easy.  He offered guile, panache and was the embodiment of flair, but with the strength to back it up.  Football is for mortals.  Sócrates was a god.

We never really took the time to celebrate Sócrates’ life at the time of his passing, so maybe now is a good moment to reflect.
