Football is known as the beautiful game because it brings together people from all walks of life. People of different races, cultural backgrounds, religion and more come together to unite behind one thing they all have in common; their love for the game. 

That's what the FA People's Cup is all about. Uniting people from different walks of life to celebrate the game we all love. 

In Bed With Maradona was invited to enter the FA People's Cup last weekend and, like any lover of the game, we jumped at the opportunity to don our boots and put ourselves to the test against some fellow fans. 

It turns out that maybe we're not that good and maybe, just maybe, we should stick to writing. We had fun, though, and it was a pleasure to play with our fellow fans. 

We entered the People's Cup in Vauxhall, London, where the competition took place at a local 5-a-side centre. There were 3 groups of 5 teams all competing to progress to the next stage of the competition. 

It's every football fan's dream, being given the chance to play in the FA Cup. Okay... it's the FA People's Cup but it's the closest we'll ever come. We captured our day, which you can see in this video below.
