PSG AWAY BY NIKE
The new Paris Saint-Germain kit has been revealed by Nike and it celebrates the legacy of the club's Brazilian players.
In 1970, Brazil won its third world title and the football they played - bold, technical and innate - became a universal talking point and considered the best in the world. In the same year, PSG was founded and they wanted to integrate how the Seleção plays into their own game.
Since the creation of the club, Brazil has been the most represented nation (other than France) at the club. 29 Brazilians have played at Parc de Princes over the last 50 years.
Between the 1970s and 1990s, the most famous Brazilian players joined the French side bringing their elegance and flare with them. The bond between the nation and the club became even stronger in 2001 when a young Ronaldinho joined the side and a world class talent that inspired a generation came with him.
Today, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos keep the Brazilian blood flowing through the French club's veins. With this new all yellow kit, the club and Nike pay homage to the history of Brazilians in Paris.
The kit features the usual technology: Aeroswift technology, engineered knit zones to increase comfort in motion, strips down the side of the torso that expand when in motion to increase ventilation, and NikeGrip technology on the sock to enhance stability.
The Paris Saint-Germain Away kit will be available starting July 1 at nike.com, official stores and retailers.
